Everyone loves a money saving hacks, right? I mean, who doesn’t like saving money?
Having 2 little girls makes me more conscious of my spending, especially around the holidays.
Not only do I have to worry about college, and weddings, but I have their sweet 16’s to consider, too.
Here are 3 money saving hacks I use monthly. Well, 2 hacks and 1 no-brainer, really.
1) Save up to 25% on everyday purchases and/or redeem unwanted gift cards for cash – Have you ever been gifted a gift card and have no plans on shopping at that store? You can sell it on Raise.com at a slight discount. People like me buy them to save money shopping.
For example, we buy our diapers from Honest.com. The girls have sensitive skin and their diapers have no chemicals. We even get their vitamins and bath stuff there, too. We have a subscription to have everything delivered monthly. The bundle is like $89 a month delivered per child.
I can buy a gift card for 11-12% off at Raise.com, then use it to discount my bundles. I save over $200 a year. Sometimes Raise has sales and offers an additional 5-10% off. I buy a truck load when they do that.
They carry just about every major retail brand you could think of. Even Amazon, but those can be really competitive. Anything over 3% is gone in a minute. You can set up price alerts to get notified of big discounts, but you have to be fast.

2) Save on prescription medications – my whole family had bronchitis recently. My insurance did’t cover the Azithromycin for my wife and I and CVS wanted $35 each. Instead, I purchased the drugs through BlinkHealth.com for only $9.94 each.
BlinkHealth.com is a free member site. When you use Blink Health, you are joining a network of over 25 million people. Together, you/they are able to negotiate with pharmacies to determine one low price for each medication that is accepted at over 40,000 pharmacies nationwide.
I just place my order through BlinkHealth.com. They give me a coupon which I then print and turn in to CVS to have them fill the order.

3) Free identity theft insurance – According to the FBI, ID theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the USA. Recovering from ID theft can be very costly.
Most credit monitoring sites like www.identityiqreport.com and discount.procredit.com offer a $1M with their $19.95 a month credit report program. But did you know that CreditSesame.com offers a $50,000.00 identity theft insurance program for their free members?
